Where the contract is with you, our lawful basis for processing this information is that it is necessary for performance of that contract. Where that contract is with someone you represent (or are employed by), our lawful basis for processing this information is our legitimate interest in negotiating and performing contracts for our services with the person you represent (or are employed by) or fulfilling our contractual and regulatory obligations in relation to such services.

For example, we might gather information from our clients, their agents and advisors, other law firms or advisors representing you, or other organisations involved in a dispute. We rely on our legitimate interest in properly administering our services as the legal basis for processing this information.

In our capacity as a Registrar, we also process your data in relation to the registration and management of your domain names and other internet related services.

It is our policy that your data is private and confidential

The personal data you provide to us is treated by us as private and confidential and is stored by us in a secure location, is accessible only by designated staff, and is used only for the purposes for which you provide the data. When you submit an order, your data is encrypted with secure server software to protect the data from unauthorised access. We will not sell any personal data you provide to us to another entity.

Sharing your data with trusted third parties

As a global domain registrar we are accredited with numerous domain registries and bodies like ICANN. We may be required to share your personal data with ICANN, registry providers and other trusted third party payment processors (including, but not limited to, vendors who provide fraud detection services to us) to perform the Services.

We may disclose your personal data to:

• ICANN, domain name registries and suppliers to provide our services;
• law enforcement agencies in connection with any investigation to help prevent unlawful activity;
• third parties if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Com Laude, our clients, or others. This includes, but is by no means limited to, exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction, domain name disputes and international sanctions compliance and preventing internet abuse; and

We require all third parties to respect the security of your personal data and to treat it in accordance with the law. We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes and only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.

Your rights

• the right to access: you can obtain confirmation from us as to whether or not we process your personal data and, where we do, access to the personal data, together with certain additional information.
• the right to rectification: you can ask any inaccurate personal data about you rectified and, taking into account the purposes of the processing, to have any incomplete personal data about you completed.

• the right to withdraw consent: to the extent that the legal basis for our processing of your personal information is consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.

You will receive marketing communications from us if you have requested updates or any other information from us, or purchased goods or services from us, and you have not opted out of receiving the marketing. We may also analyse your identity, contact, technical, usage and profile data to form a view which products, services and offers may be of interest to you so that we can then send you relevant marketing communications.

Opting out of marketing

You can request to stop receiving marketing messages at any time by contacting us. Please note that opting out of these marketing communications does not apply to personal data provided during a service purchase or other transactions. You will continue to receive essential service-related communications necessary for administrative or customer service purposes.

Sale of Business

If the business of the provision of our Website or the Services is sold by us or integrated with another business your details may be disclosed to our advisers and any prospective purchasers and their advisers and will be passed on to the new owners of the business solely for the purpose of that sale or integration and such prospective purchasers and their advisers or new owners will be similarly bound by this Privacy Policy.

Updating your details

We are committed to maintaining accurate, timely, relevant and appropriate information about our clients. If any of the data that you have provided to Safenames Limited changes, for example if you change your email address, name or payment details or if you wish to cancel your subscription please sign in to your IDP account. Alternatively you can let us know the correct details by contacting us.

Age Restrictions

Our services are available for purchase only for those over the age of 18. Our services are not targeted, intended or designed to be sold to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without the consent of the child's parent or guardian.

Changes in our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes to this Privacy Policy, so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will notify you here, by email, or by means of a notice on our IDP, at least thirty (30) days prior to the implementation of the changes.
