|Why register .tz?
|Tanzania is located in East Africa and ranked the 25th most populated country by total area of 365,756 sq mi. The largest city is Dar es Salaam, and the capital is Dodoma. Since 1996, the sovereign state of Tanzania has been a presidential constitutional republic.
The World Bank declared the rise of the Tanzanian economy from low income to the lower-middle-income country. If you conduct business from within Tanzania, it is time to register a .TZ domain extension. Registering a dot 'TZ' country code extension (top level domain name) will increase credibility for your business across the globe. Why? Country-code domains are meant specifically for businesses that do business within a particular country--in this case, Tanzania. The .com domain (and other generic TLDs) are not targeted and that online space is saturated--and you likely already have the .com for your business. Extend your brand presence with a more relevant, shorter domain--a ccTLD that differentiates you from competitors.
Identify yourself as an official Tanzania business owner and give your clients and constituents more confidence as they interact with you online. Country code domains also help you rank higher in local search results.
Registration in the Tanzania country domain, TZ, is done via email using a simple ASCII form. As the form is processed by scripts, please do not modify, reformat, ... it in any way.
Note that two problems are the most common causes for rejection of applications.
Per RFC 2182, at least one secondary nameserver must be on a different international backbone than the primary server.
Registrations must be from organizations with a real presence in the country and with a demonstrable intent to use the domain name on a regular basis on the internet. I.e. vanity, placemark, ... name registration is not appropriate. For trademark registration, see the trademark office.
